Possible terrorist to be given indefinite prison in Australia

I see this as dangerous legislation as who is designated a terrorist - who decides that you 'might' commit a terror offence. Laws need to be that you have committed an offence, not a presumption as this can be easily abused.

It is nothing to do with human rights as if you commit a terror offence, then you should be arrested, charged by the Police or authorities with this responsibility, put before the courts and sentenced to an appropriate custodial sentence.

But to lock a person up on an 'assumption' is wrong, very wrong. Unless the person commits the crime they should be free. If this legislation is passed and there is a very high chance of it gettng through, then people will use this unethically to put a false accusations to get you taken out and thrown in prison.

This is just not on so I oppose this law on the bases

"not that a terrorist should not be locked up as when they commit such a heinous offence, yes they should be locked up, but to assume that a person will committ the crime when they have not committed the offence." Also I ask is what is classified a terror offence, It must be a narrow charge NOT WIDE BASED ACCUSATION AS THIS WILL ALSO BE USED FOR PEOPLE TO ABUSE THE SYSTEM.

I am one of the people that has been abused by people telling lies about me on vilification cases.
